Especially for those who have had difficulty in going abroad to work and endure it, it seems to be happy. However, because the number of flights is limited or the airfare is often two to three times as expensive as before, it has become difficult to say traveling foreign countries is easy.On the other hand, in Japan, the effects of the depreciation of the Japanese yen and other factors have been remarkable, and commodity price has risen dramatically. It can be said that commodity price is still cheaper than those of Western countries, but there is no doubt that there is a considerable burden in the case where many materials are purchased from abroad.By the way, what do you feel about environmental initiatives in your countries? In Japan, various initiatives such as replacing plastic with paper, recycling, reuse. As you know, it is easy to recycle single materials but pro-cessed products are very difficult to recycle, so it is probable that a large number of processed materials are still incinerated. Currently, there is a shortage of components, including electrical compo-nents, that is worrying about the machinery and equipment manufacturers in the Japanese converting industry. Therefore, the company is struggling to re-spond by temporarily attaching parts of manufacturers that had not been used until now for shipment. Currently, there is no prospect of when this shortage of parts will be resolved, and some manufacturers have had a lot of backlog of orders. Finally, not only the economy, but also some countries have social prob-lems when viewed from the perspective of the world. I wish all of us a world in which human-kind can live safely and healthily, and I pray for your health and development.Published by:Converting Technical InstituteHead Editorial and Sales Office:VORT Akihabara III 1-23 Kanda-Iwamotocho, Chiyoda-kuTokyo 101-0033, JapanTEL. +81-3-3258-1201FAX. +81-3-3258-1202Email: econvertech@ctiweb.co.jpURL: www.ctiweb.co.jp/eng/Staff:Publisher & Chief EditorShigeo Arakie_publisher@ctiweb.co.jpInternational Representatives:TaiwanWorldwide Services Co., Ltd.Robert Yu11F-2, No. 540Wen Hsin Road, Section 1Taichung 408, TaiwanTEL.+886-4-2325-1784FAX.+886-4-2325-2967Editor's Note
