Linxens x Max Luxury Packaging: a key partnership for the traceability and authentication of luxury products
With their expertise in luxury packaging, Linxens and Max Luxury Packaging have joined forces to create a certificate of authenticity and traceability for luxury products directly integrated into a hangtag. The hangtag is made of sustainably managed beech wood and does not contain any plastic. The RFID chip contained in the hangtag allows to store reliable data throughout the life of the product on a secure platform on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The authenticity of the chip is ensured by a unique identifier associated with an encrypted key. This hangtag is also a beautiful and customizable object that contributes to the customer experience.
This innovative and virtuous passport facilitates the tracking of the multiple lives of luxury products within a growing second-hand market, linked to the need for more responsible consumption. It also helps to fight against the counterfeit market, which is completely opposed to the current CSR issues and values of Max Luxury Packaging and Linxens, while damaging the image of the brands.
The authentication part of the chip consists in comparing the elements present in the chip with the elements registered in the platform, in order to propose either a downloadable certificate or a form to report the counterfeit item. The content of the chip can be accessed by scanning with an NFC phone without downloading any application.
More reliable and complete than a simple invoice or label, the media part of the RFID chip can contain data about the history of the brand, the production and origin of the product, as well as the different labels and certifications in the value chain. It can also support the life and end-of-life of products by providing maintenance or recycling information to customers.
