At CONVERTECH 2026<\/a><\/strong>, held in Tokyo in late January 2026, Hirano Tecseed<\/a><\/strong> unveiled the world\u2019s first roll-to-roll (R2R) coating machine developed for the mass production of flexible perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The machine features a wide-web configuration with a roll width of 1,200 mm, a maximum substrate width of 1,050 mm, and a maximum coating width of 1,000 mm. It was designed in line with the development goal of \u201cmanufacturing 1-meter-wide film-type PSCs,\u201d as set forth in a Japanese national project.
