(\"ATOM-X\") through its Corporate Venture Capital Group. Idemitsu will evaluate how to develop the e-methanol technology developed by ATOM-X. The investment allows the companies to work together to accelerate the scale up and commercialization of e-methanol production process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ATOM-X has developed a technology using a proprietary catalyst to produce cost competitive e-methanol, in a single production step, by directly electro-synthesizing water and CO2 under ambient temperature and pressure. A cost competitive e-methanol is a strategic part of Idemitsu\u2019s strategy, and will be an important future energy source, contributing to decarbonization in many sectors.
